Over the last couple of years I’ve had friends, clients, and fellow photographers who are fans of my Shoot My Chef blog request similar shoots for their families.  For those not familiar with the chef blog, it’s me doing a shoot with chefs on their days away from the restaurant life.  So when I brought up the idea to a few friends, Amber was the first one to jump onboard with this.

For those who know me, Amber’s face is a familiar one. She’s an amazing boudoir, senior, newborn, and family photographer, and she has second shot many of my weddings with me over the last 5 or so years.  Our families have been close for years and she even did newborn pictures of my baby girl when she was born.

Amber’s passion for rescue animals has led her to have more animals in her house than humans.  With 4 dogs and 3 cats it’s quite the spectacle when you walk through the door of the house. It took a good 15 minutes for the dogs to get adjusted to me being there (again!), and once I started shooting, one of the dogs kept a very watchful eye on me for a good part of an hour. At the end, all was good and I was getting wet kisses from the dogs before I left… along with my plate of muffins I was given for the kids.
