When I started my personal project, Shoot My Chef, I did it for a friend who passed away before we got a chance to take the idea off the ground. Over the last couple of years the project has taken off and I’ve met quite a few chefs, foodies, bloggers, and writers. It was just a matter of time my food world and wedding world mixed together. Patrise, as a foodie and food writer here in Houston, has seen the blog grow and become what it is now.
Patrise and Peggy’s wedding was held on the back patio of Backstreet Cafe on the same day they had their first date a decade earlier. The ceremony was intimate and attended by a handful of very close friends and family. Everyone stood in a circle while each person giving a touching speech. There were many tears of joy, lots of hugging, and the ceremony even had me a little teary eyed. Two days after the ceremony, Patrise and Peggy had their reception at the beautiful Hotel ZaZa with a great group of friends and family. It was a wonderful night of celebration and I’m glad to have been such a big part of it.
