Its been a few months since I was in Dallas for Marae and Pejmon’s engagement session. During our shoot we talked about the sofreh aghd being a private and intimate ceremony at Pejmon’s parents house followed by a lounge style setting for the wedding reception the following night.
Most of the Persian weddings I’ve attended and photographed over the course of my life have been big, extravagant, lot of guests, and a whole lot of dancing and food. This wedding broke the cycle for me. The intimate sofreh was a perfect family setting followed by an amazing Persian dinner, and the reception was relaxed and laid back. Marae and Pejmon’s wedding was definitely a different direction from a lot of weddings I’ve done the last few years. Dave and I enjoyed it quite a bit.
